Description	:	Son of Herman Henderson Brown and Lenore Collins Brown Glenn. Paternal grandson of Arthur W. Brown and Leila Poston. Maternal grandson of Maxie Carlton Collins and Ophelia Matthews. Having received his grammar education in Friendfield School, Sonny was a graduate of Pamplico High School "1953". Thereafter, he attended Clemson College and later the University of South Carolina where he earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree in political science and a Master of Arts Degree in secondary English education. Having received his grammar education in Friendfield School, Sonny was a graduate of Pamplico High School "1953". Thereafter, he attended Clemson College and later the University of South Carolina where he earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree in political science and a Master of Arts Degree in secondary English education. After an eight year teaching career beginning in Wampee, S.C, and ending in Santa Barbara, Calif., he achieved success in health insurance and real estate over the next twenty years. In 1989, he decided to return to his first love, teaching, and secured a position as adjunct English instructor in Midlands Technical College in 1989, leaving in 1991 to become an English instructor on the faculty of Camden Military Academy. He became a Lieutenant Colonel on the faculty and English Department Head until he retired from that position in 2004. He continued with CMA as yearbook advisor, staff photographer, and general purpose editor until his death. In 2006, Camden Military Academy dedicated its yearbook to Lt. Col. Brown. He is survived by his wife and step-son, a sister, a nephew and a niece.
