Mrs. Walter Schramm was organist for the service and hymns were sung by Mrs. Donald Hill, Mrs. Kenneth Spurling, Mrs. Donald Hawks and Mrs. Arland Wiese. Casket attendants were Henry Meyer, Claude Peters, Clarence Peters, Clarence Jensen, Harold Smidt and Richard Leonard. Herman Peters, son of Marx Peters and his wife Anna Rademacher, was born on a farm northwest of Lake July 29, 1891, the fifth child in a family of ten. Herman was baptized in the Lutheran church, Wall Lake and confirmed in Emmanuel Lutheran church, Lake View where he remained a member until his death. February 10, 1915 he was married to Dorothea Caroline Jensen. After two years on a farm near Nemaha, they moved to the present farm east of Lake View. Mrs. Peters died July 22, 1922. Herman and his wife had six children, four of whom survive. Ruth Evelyn died in infancy and Gladys Leona died Sept. 24, 1939. After many months of increasing invalidism, Herman died at Loring hospital, Sac City Jan. 6. 1961 at the age of 69 years. Survivors are: two sons: Harold of Lake View and Donald of Encino, Calif.; two daughters: Lillian (Mrs. Charles Harvey) and Mabel (Mrs. Wally Beckman), both of Lake View; eight grandchildren, eight nephews and eighteen nieces. Also surviving are four brothers: John, William and Otto of Lake View and Ed. of Sac City; and two sisters, Mary Meyer and Lillian (Mrs. Peter Buse) both of Lake View. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
