Description	:	Herman Thomas Reinsch, son of Henry and Margaret Reinsch, was born at York, Neb., on June 3, 1952. He passed away January 2, 1975, at the age of 22 years, 6 months, 29 days, from an accident involving a dump truck, where his skull was crushed. He was working for the R.D. Bean Construction Company, that was contracted by the government to fix roofs on the Quantico Marine Base, near Triangle, Va. He was killed instantly at this marine base. Read More	Herman Thomas Reinsch, son of Henry and Margaret Reinsch, was born at York, Neb., on June 3, 1952. He passed away January 2, 1975, at the age of 22 years, 6 months, 29 days, from an accident involving a dump truck, where his skull was crushed. He was working for the R.D. The accident investigation has not been able to determine the cause at this time. Tommy, as he was called, was baptized in the Catholic faith on June 15, 1952, at Joseph's Church by Rev. Paul Ulenberg. On September 2, 1957, he entered kindergarten at the Geneva public schools, Mrs. Evalyn Koehler was his teacher. On May 14, 1960, he received his First Holy Communion and that afternoon, was confirmed by the Rev. Bishop Casey of Lincoln, Nebraska. September 1958, until May 1966, he attended eight years of school at St. Joseph's Parochial school, entering the Geneva Public Schools from September 1966, until graduation in May, 1970. Three days after graduation he enrolled in college at the Denver Automotive and Diesel College in Denver, Col., for one year, graduating as a transmission specialist in June, 1971. He worked at Dee's Transmission and Gear after graduation. Later he and another man ran a shop together by the title of H & R Co. on Blake Street in Denver, Col. Tom later sold his share and came home to work for a construction company. He left Geneva on October 28, 1974. Besides his parents, Henry and Margaret Reinsch, survivors include brothers, Michael of Omaha, Paul of Lincoln, Charles of Denver, Col., Henry Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska (who is in the Navy), and Joseph of Geneva; sisters, Mrs. Charles (Mary Ann) Miller of Omaha, Mrs. Tom (Elfrieda) Viris of St. Charles, Ill., Mrs. Helen Bishop of Mason City, Ia., and Mrs. Vaughn (Shirley) Hillgren of Hawaii; grandmother, Mrs. Mable Schommer of Heritage of Geneva; and a host of relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were three grandparents. Funeral services for Tommy were conducted at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Geneva, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 1975, with Father Walter Banach officiating. Mass servers were Melvin Pendelton, Jeff Bartak, Scott Reinsch and Pat Steider. The organist was Mrs. Betty Steider and singers were Mary An Najmon, Doris Weis and Carole Prater. Pallbearers were Gaylen Tesar, William Kelch, Jim Reinsch, Doug Peterson, Jim Lane and Bob Boyes, all of whom were classmates and friends of Tom. Interment was in the St. Joseph's Cemetery at Geneva.
