Cottrell Fayetteville - Herschel A. Cottrell, 80, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday in Oak Hill Hospital. He was a native of Oka, Calhoun County, and was a retired secretary-treasurer of the Fayetteville Federal Savings & Loan Association, where he was employed 35 years. Mr. Cottrell was a member of the Fayetteville United Methodist Church and was a World War I veteran. He was an honorary member of the Rotary Club. Surviving: wife, Bessie Oliver Cottrell; brothers, Shirley of Uniontown, Ohio, Theodore of Glenville; sister, Mrs. Ada Archer of Akron, Ohio. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Fayetteville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Billy Reed Wickline and Rev. Charles S. Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Dodd-Payne Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The body will be taken to the church an hour before the service.
