Description	:	Herschel C. Geise, 85, of the Everton community, died Wednesday, June 27th, 2007, at Heritage House of Connersville. He was born in Union County, December 18th, 1921 to Claude R. Geise and Kathryn Blanche Fields Geise. He attended Union County area schools and on May 11, 1941, he was married in Connersville to the former Margaret Wilma Grayson, who died November 12th, 2006. Read More	Herschel C. Geise, 85, of the Everton community, died Wednesday, June 27th, 2007, at Heritage House of Connersville. He was born in Union County, December 18th, 1921 to Claude R. Geise and Kathryn Blanche Fields Geise. He attended Union County area schools and on May 11, 1941, he was married in Connersville to the former Margaret Wilma Grayson, who died November 12th, 2006. He joined the United States Coast Guard, Reserves and attained the rank of Sonarman Second Class. After returning from the service he had been employed at a feed mill in Richmond. He worked for the next 44 years, till his retirement in 1985, with Ford Manufacturing and their predecessors. He was an active member of the Church of the Bible Covenant and enjoyed reading his Bible, fishing, singing, and traveling out to the east coast to be with his family. Survivors include; a daughter and son-in-law: Linda Kaye and Samuel Huddleston of Connersville; three brothers and four sisters-in-law: Delbert and Mary Alyce Geise of Connersville, Gale and Betty Geise of New Castle, Dale and Barbara Geise of Graham, NC, Mary Geise of Bentonville; five grandchildren and their spouses: Jonathan Mark Huddleston, Christopher Ray Huddleston, Amy Elizabeth Huddleston, all of Connersville, Tammy Lee and Greg Riggs of Pennsylvania, Kimberly Dawn and Mark Biggs of Dover, DE; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter: Beverly June Geise Bonniwell, who died in 2000; two sisters: Glenna Geise and Wilma P. Caudwell; a brother: Paul Geise. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Bible Covenant, 2409 Indiana Avenue, with Reverend Richard Wood and Pastor Phillip Mahoney officiating. Interment will follow in Dunlapsville Cemetery, Union County where military graveside services will be conducted by the Fayette County Veterans Council. Friends may visit at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church where memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Bible Covenant.
