Born in Hughes Station, Liberty Township, Ohio, on Dec. 20, 1913, he was the son of Stanley and Carrie (Dudley) Robinson. In 1937, he married Arline Lois Lotz and she preceded him in death in 1989. Robinson, 87, of Monroe, Ohio, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Mount Pleasant Retirement Home. Born in Hughes Station, Liberty Township, Ohio, on Dec. 20, 1913, he was the son of Stanley and Carrie (Dudley) Robinson. In 1937, he married Arline Lois Lotz and she preceded him in death in 1989. In 1992, Herschel married Mildred Hinkle and she preceded him on July 16, 1994. On Nov. 9, 1995, he married Evelyn B. Wear. For 42 1/2 years Mr. Robinson was a plant superintendent for Stearns and Foster Co., retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 678 of Mason, Ohio, and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Evelyn B. Robinson; his sons, Merle Scott Robinson, and his wife, Kay, of Columbus, Ohio, and Maxwell N. Wear, and his wife, Janet, of Fairfield, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Virgil Robinson of Tucson, Ariz., and Donald Robinson of Gallipolis, Ohio; two sisters, Ada Schutte of Hamilton, Ohio, and Glendora Bicknell of Hughes Station, Ohio. His parents, a son, Barry Robinson, and two sisters, Kathleen Robinson and Geneva Barnes, also preceded him in death. ARRANGEMENTS: Funerals services will be held at the Webb-Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South D Street, Hamilton, Ohio, at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, with the Rev. Barry Burns of the Lindenwald United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 2936 Vernon Place, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219.
