Dec. 30, 1915 North Manchester News Journal FUNERAL SERVICES HELD HERE WEDNESDAY The funeral services of Mrs. Fred Sausaman were held at the Methodist church yesterday afternoon with Rev. Mr. Fisher in charge. Interment was made in the Pleasant Grove cemetery east of town. Mrs. Sausaman and her husband had removed from this city to the Soldiers home at Lafayette last fall where they were making their home. She had been in poor health for some time and the end was not unexpected. The body was brought to this place on last Sunday death reaching the patient sufferer early on Sunday morning. Obituary (unsure of publication information; from the files of Betty Lou Hare Suhr, great granddaughter of Hester Bloomer) SAUSAMAN FUNERAL HELD YESTERDAY The funeral of Mrs. Fred Sausaman, mention of whose death at Lafayette was made in the News Monday afternoon, was held yesterday afternoon at two o'clock at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. J.J. Fischer. Burial was had at Oaklawn(sic). Hester Sausaman was the daughter of Benjamin Bloomer and was born January 13, 1841, in Wabash county, spending practically all her life here. December 23, 1866, she was married to Noah Hare, and to them five children wer born, three with the father having preceded her in death. The living are S.F. (sic) Hare of Montana and H.C. Hare of this city. She is also survived by eleven grand children and two great grand children. She was a member of the Eastern Star and almost a life long member of the Methodist church. In September, 1913, she left the Methodist church, and became an Adventist, being baptized by Elder Hubbard and Radar, and remaining of that faith until her death. October 31, 1892, she was married to Frederick Sausaman, who survives her. Last fall on account of ill health they left their home in the east part of town, going to the state soldier's home at Lafayette, where they were well cared for until her death came Sunday. Hester Hare was married three times: Noah Hare, Anderson Moore and Frederick Sausaman.
