Description	:	Hester Clare Crites, age 71, of Rig, WV, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at her home. She was born August 12, 1937 in Rig, WV, and was the daughter of the late Amby Harper Crites and Mamie Hester (Ayers) Crites. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wardney C. Crites in 1975. She retired in 2007 from the Grant County Nursing Home. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Taylor and Debbie Riggleman, both of Rig, WV and Joyce Davidson of Moorefield, WV; one step daughter, Teresa Crites of Fisher, WV; one step son, Fred Simmons of Chesterfield, VA; five sisters, Rada Strawderman and Wanda Ours, both of Moorefield, WV, Brenda Champ and Barbara Hedrick, both of Petersburg, WV and Wilma Mann of White Lake, MI; five brothers, Verrlon “Bub” Crites of Dorcas, WV, Wayne H. Crites and Clyde E. Crites, both of Moorefield, WV, Marvin Crites of Petersburg, WV and Allen L. Crites of Franklin, WV; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. A funeral service was conducted Friday, June 19th, at the Rig Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. Interment was held at Critestown Cemetery, Rig, WV.
