Ann daughter of William and Irene (Phillips) Martin, was born July 20, 1931 at O'Neill, NE. Ann grew up in O'Neill and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1950. Ann daughter of William and Irene (Phillips) Martin, was born July 20, 1931 at O'Neill, NE. Ann grew up in O'Neill and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1950. On March 1, 1962 Ann married Henry A. Day at Valentine, NE. They made their home on a ranch west of Elgin, NE on the Beaver Creek. It was there that they raised their three children: Dell, Bill and Joe. In 1983, Henry retired and they sold the ranch to Jim and Elaine Wolf. They continued to live on the ranch until moving to the Homestead apartments in Elgin, NE in 2000. Ann entered the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in December 2012. Ann loved to crochet, play cards, read, and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member St. Boniface Catholic Church and St. Boniface Christian Mothers. She is survived by: children: Dell Behnk of Belton, TX; William (Gloria) Day of Norfolk, NE; Joe Day of Omaha, NE; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters: Judy Shaw of Albion, NE and Kay Shoemaker of Chambers, NE; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry in 2005; brothers: Don and Ed Martin and sisters: Midge Hickey and Mary Helen Magdanz.
