Description	:	Hike Bruins, 74, of 1940 Wisconsin Ave. S.W., Apt. 203, died Wednesday evening at Huron Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Welter Funeral Home with the Rev. Merlyn Huke officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Garden. He moved with is parents to Redfield when he was bout 15 years old. Later, he and his brother, Albert, moved to a farm near Frankfort. They raised horses and Hike Bruins rode a white horse and carried the American flag in parades. He married Evelyn Phillips in 1944. He later married Frances Howard McNutt April 13, 1954, at Pipestone, Minn. They moved to Huron and had lived here since that time. He was in the trucking business for many years and retired in 1970. Survivors include his wife, Frances, of Huron; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Karen) Smith, of Sterling, Ill., and Mrs. Gary (Donna Jean) French, Columbia; five grandchildren; two brothers, Herman of Providence, R.I., and Lee of Rapid City, and five sisters, Mrs. Tillie Johnston of Manitoba, Canada, Mrs. Effie Clausen of Redfield, Mrs. Leif (Jennie) Solheim of Frankfort, Mrs. Ralph (Ann) Rawstern of Bonilla, and Mrs. Arnold (Katie) Monroe, Hot Springs.
