He attended school at Dodge, Nebraska and worked with his father on the family farm near Dodge. He enjoyed music and played an accordion in a local dance orchestra. Hibb married Marian Foy on February 21, 1944 at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Snyder, Nebraska. Read More	Holyoke Enterprise, Holyoke, CO, 14 Jun 1990 Hilbert John "Hibb" Kaup was born to Fred and Catherine Kaup on June 9, 1915 at West Point, Nebraska. He attended school at Dodge, Nebraska and worked with his father on the family farm near Dodge. He enjoyed music and played an accordion in a local dance orchestra. Hibb married Marian Foy on February 21, 1944 at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Snyder, Nebraska. They farmed near Scribner, Nebraska until they purchased a farm near Holyoke and moved there in January 1955. Hibb loved to farm and continued farming at that location until his death, giving his heart and soul to the land. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Hilbert Kaup passed away on Sunday, June 10, 1990 at Rose Medical Center in Denver. Survivors include his wife, Marian; two sons, Dan of Walden and Doug of Arcata, California; one brother, Richard Kaup of West Point, Nebraska; three sisters, Kathryn Ulrich of Norfolk, Nebraska, Amelia Klitz of Loveland and Berdine McGuire of Wisner, Nebraska; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Margaret Foy. Vigil and Rosary service was held on Tuesday, June 12 and the funeral mass was held Wednesday, June 13 from St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Jerry Young officiating. Interment was at Holyoke Memorial Park.
