Description	:	Hilda Christina Butler was born on Feb. 7, 1912 on a farm near Anita, IA. She was the daughter of Chris and Ingeborg (Nielsen) Christensen. She was one of seven children in the family. She attended school in Atlantic. Hilda was united into marriage to Donald Baker in 1929. They were the parents of three sons, Tedd, Kenneth and Donald, who passed away in 1970. Read More	Hilda Christina Butler was born on Feb. 7, 1912 on a farm near Anita, IA. She was the daughter of Chris and Ingeborg (Nielsen) Christensen. She was one of seven children in the family. She attended school in Atlantic. Hilda was united into marriage to Donald Baker in 1929. They were the parents of three sons, Tedd, Kenneth and Donald, who passed away in 1970. She was married to Roy Butler on Feb. 23, 1946. They lived in Atlantic and the Walnut areas. Roy and Hilda were the caretakers of the Knutson Funeral Home in Walnut for many of those years. Roy passed away on May 22, 1980. Hilda then moved to Atlantic and became a resident of the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center this past November. Hilda passed away on May 22, 1997 at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, IA. She had attained the age of 85 years, 3 months and 15 days. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her son Donald, and two brothers, Erling and Norman. She leaves to mourn her passing her sons, Tedd Baker and his wife, Kathy of Fort Collins, CO, Kenneth Baker of Corpus Christi, TX, three sisters, Astrid Andersen and Irma Nelson, both of Atlantic, Carla Turner and her husband, Kenneth of Anita, one brother, Lloyd and his wife, Cleone of Atlantic, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
