She was born Sept. 29, 1918, in Hanson County to John and Elizabeth (Becker) Kunkel. She married Leo "Lee" Mutziger Oct. 8, 1940, at Epiphany. They farmed in the Alexandria area for many years. She was a member of St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church and the Altar Society, the Fairview Community Center in Fulton, and the Alexandria Card Club. She is survived by five children: LeRoy and wife, Delores, Savage, Minn.; Charles "Chuck" and wife, Rose, Yankton; Donald and wife, Linda, Murrieta, Calif.; Elaine Dunn and husband, Brian, Rapid City; and Jeri Mutziger, Mitchell; one brother, Henry Kunkel, Spencer; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church in Alexandria with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church with a wake service at 4. Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell is in charge of arrangements.
