Description	:	Hilda Forrest Callis came into this world Jan. 31, 1917, and departed for Heaven on June 17, 2007, at age 90. She had spent the last eight years in Riverside-Mathews Convalescent Center where she was loved by all. She was a lifetime member of Gwynn's Island Baptist Church, a wonderful wife, mother and care-giver. Preceding her in death were her husband of 57 years, Marshall Edward Callis; parents, Agnes and Clarence Forrest; sisters, Kathryn Brown, Christine Fernald, and Jane Lee Smith. Scott Burch, USAF, Jeffrey Allen Burch and Kristen Williams Eckstein; four great-grandchildren, Ashleigh and Adam Eckstein, Rachel and Andrew Burch and sister, Kathryn Diggs. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19 at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. A Celebration Tribute of her life will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20 at Gwynn's Island Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Patton officiating. Heaven going interment will follow in Gwynn's Island Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Hilda 's memory to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 723, Mathews, Va. 23109.
