She was baptized and confirmed her faith in the St. John Lutheran Church. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Odin Johnson on October 31, 1936, at the parsonage in Hatton, by Rev. Jenson. The couple have made their home and farmed in Washington Township, rural Hatton. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, an honorary member of its ALCW, and of the Tri-County Home Auxiliary. She entered into rest... She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, Mrs. Russell (Jean) Pladson, of Hatton, Mrs. Judy Atkins, of Fargo, 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Alvin and Arthur Foss, both of Hatton, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Harris (Myrtle) Holman and Mrs. Rueben (Cora) Grande also of Hatton. Funeral Services were held on Monday, Jan. 10, 1983, at 2:00 p.m. in the St. John Lutheran Church, Hatton, with Pastor Rudolph Berntson officiating. The organist was Patricia Nelson and the soloist was George Melby. Honorary pallbearers were all her neighbors and friends. The casketbearers were Wayne Thompson, Garvin Melby, Ben Lee, Dale Gulson, Arthur Lillemoen, and Palmer Lillemoen. Committal services were held in the church. The Arnett Funeral Home, Hatton in charge of arrangements"--Hatton Free Press, January 1983.
