Dunkerton, la.—The body of Mrs. Harold Meyer, 28, was found in a water storage tank at the Meyer farm home, five miles north of Dunkerton about 8 a. m. Sunday. The death was believed to have occurred about 6:30 a. m. Dr. Sidney Smith, Black Hawk county coroner, called the death a suicide and stated no inquest would be held. Mrs. Meyer had climbed to the top of the enclosed tank, built into a corner of the barn, and had entered it thru a trap door, which she closed, according to the official's report. Dr. Smith said relatives told him she had attempted suicide in a cistern previously, and that she had consulted a physician about a nervous condition. Private Funeral Rites. Her husband and two children survive. Funeral services will be private. They will be at the family residence at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday in charge of Rev. W. C. Vetter, pastor of Klinger Lutheran church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery at Denver. Hilda Happel was born March 16, 1914, in the Klinger community southeast of Denver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Happel, and lived thruout her life in that vicinity. She was married to Harold Meyer Nov. 26, 1936, at Klinger. She leaves two sons, Dale, 4, and Merle, five months old. Besides the husband and children she is survived by her parents, at Klinger; five sisters, Mrs. Walter Warneke and Mrs. Melvin Matthias of Readlyn, and Anna, Donna and Dorothy Happel at Klinger, and four brothers, Richard and LeRoy of Denver, William, jr employed at the Meyer farm, and Vernon, of Klinger.
