She spent her entire life at the place of her birth. after the death of her father in 1933, she together with her mother made her home with her brother Mr. Charles Schlumbohm, and his family. On March 1 of this year she became ill with influenza, which later developed into pneumonia. On March 10, 1939 it pleased her Heavenly Father to take her to her eternal home. she was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Mrs. Fred Pulver. Those who survive are her mother, Mrs. Henry Schlumbohm, two brothers Louis and Charles of Aurora; and four sisters, Mrs. Clay Hallberg of Oelwein, Mrs. Kenneth Matterson of Aurora, and Mrs. Forest Hamlett and Mrs. Virgil Colton of Lamont. God in His wise and loving providence saw fit to make the deceased the special life-long care of her parents. this trust they took upon themselves in humble submission to the will of God and with tenderest affection. Especially do we wish to give credit to the loving devotion of Mrs. Schlumbohm to her daughter. And now we commend the soul of our departed sister to the tender love and care of her Good Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ. The funeral was held by Rev. H.C. Schiffler from the Union church, north of Aurora, on Sunday afternoon, March 12, 1939. Singers were Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Peters of Arlington. Burial at the Union cemetery.
