Hilda was born March 30, 1914 in Cuming Co, Nebraska to John and Agnes (Weisen) Kreikemeier. She grew up in Cuming County. Hildegard married George Harms on October 27, 1937 in Monterey, Nebraska. Read More	"Hildegard "Hilda" Christina Harms, 102, of Dodge, NE passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at St Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE. Hilda was born March 30, 1914 in Cuming Co, Nebraska to John and Agnes (Weisen) Kreikemeier. She grew up in Cuming County. Hildegard married George Harms on October 27, 1937 in Monterey, Nebraska. They moved to Snyder, NE in 1937 and then in 1942, they purchased a farm south of Dodge to farm and care for their children. In 1974, George and Hilda retired and moved into Dodge. George passed away on May 24, 1994. Hilda remained in Dodge until moving to St. Joseph’s Assisted Living in West Point, NE in 2004. In 2014, she moved to the Parkview Home in Dodge. Hilda loved quilting, crocheting, gardening (especially her roses), baking coffee cakes, and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at Dodge and was a member of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dodge. Hilda was active in the Christian Mother's. Survivors include her sons, John Harms, Leonard Harms, Raymond Harms, and Marvin Harms all of Dodge; daughters, Kathleen (Leonard) Simanek of Malmo, NE, Mae Rita Meyer of Hooper, NE, Donna (John) Gall of Norfolk, NE, Elizabeth Steffensmeier of Dodge and Margaret (Glen) Steffensmeier of Bennet, NE; sister, Agnes (Ralph) Ruskamp of Dodge; 31 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sons, Anthony and Tony; brothers, Aloys, Frank, and Leonard; sisters, Eleanor Vering, Anna Marie Klitz, Margaret Mendlik, and Helen Weitfield; and granddaughters, Sarah Steffensmeier and Stefanie Gall. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, NE. Father Andy Phan will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., with a Christian Mother's Rosary at 3:00 P.M. and a Rosary at 7:00 P.M., all at church. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Dodge. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, and the Brain Injury Alliance of Nebraska." Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, Nebraska.
