Description	:	Hilka was born to Hagen F. and Moederka (Sweeter) Reeverts. Hilka married Ailert Sinning on about 1879 in Grundy County, IA. 9 children were born to this union; Henri, Maggie, Henry A., Reka, Harry A., Fred, Fanna A., Fommo and George A. Eight years after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Ailert Sinning took up their residence in the Lennox community. Mr. Sinning, a native of Germany where he was born March 26, 1858, came to this country with his parents in 1868 and first made their home at Forreston, IL. Four years later the family immigrated to Harden County, IA. Mrs. Sinning prior to her marriage was Miss Hilke Reeverts, and was born in Iowa. The couple was married in Grundy County in 1879 and they settled near Wellsburg, IA., where they continued to make their home until their later emigration to this community. The couple remained on their farm near here until 1910 when they resigned from active duties and made their home here. Mr. and Mrs. Sinning were members of the Turner county First Presbyterian church several years and later became affiliated with the Presbyterian Church here. Mr. Sinning passed away September 17, 1924. He was survived by his wife and seven children, namely, Mrs. John Lubbers, Harry, Fred, Tom, and George Sinning, Mrs. John Bossman, and Rev. H. Sinning.
