He was son of the late Arthur J. and Lottie Costner Wright. He was married to Mary Daniel Wright for 71 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Landrum for 73 years where he served as deacon, usher, Junior department Sunday School teacher, trustee, and as a member of the Properties Committee. Read More	LANDRUM, SC Hillerous Thomas "Tommy" Wright, 93, of 307 South Lee Avenue, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Smith Phayer Hospice House. He was son of the late Arthur J. and Lottie Costner Wright. He was married to Mary Daniel Wright for 71 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Landrum for 73 years where he served as deacon, usher, Junior department Sunday School teacher, trustee, and as a member of the Properties Committee. He was a member of the Landrum Fire Department for many years and owner of Landrum Casket Company. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Billy Arthur Wright and wife Lin of Shelby, NC; a daughter, Janey W. Lee and husband Bobby of Landrum; six grandchildren, Robin Lee, Barry Lee , Gordon Lee, Heather Robbins, David Wright and Philip Wright; and seven great-grandchildren. Also, caregivers, Doris Allison, Tammy Carruth, Kay Loftis and Carolyn Parker. He was predeceased by brothers and sister, Merrill Wright, Bennett Wright and Annelle Brooks. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church of Landrum conducted by Rev. Andy Allen and Rev. Mark Bishop. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Landrum, 300 East Rutherford Street, Landrum SC 29356; Hospice of the Carolina Foothills Hospice House, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722; Rosecrest Retirement Community, 200 Fortress Drive, Inman, SC 29349; or to the charity of one's choice.
