Description	:	Death of Hiram Hull. Hiram Hull, aged 75 years, 11 months and 15 days, died in Spokane, Monday, March 9, 1908, while being brought to his home in this city from Medical Lake asylum. Read More	Death of Hiram Hull. Hiram Hull, aged 75 years, 11 months and 15 days, died in Spokane, Monday, March 9, 1908, while being brought to his home in this city from Medical Lake asylum. The deceased was a well known pioneer of Whitman county,having come to eastern Washington many years ago. Severai weeks ago his mind failed him and he became quite feeble. His sons could not give him the care and medical treatment necessary, so an application was made to have him sent to Medical Lake, with the hope that treatment at that institution might improve him. Last week, however, it was decided to bring the patient home. In removing him from the carriage to the train, Mr. Hull died. His death was due primarily to old and feeble age. Funeral services were held at the family residence, 906 East street, Wednesday, March 11. Interment was made in Crampton cemetery on Spring Flat, near where the deceased had spent much of his life since coming to Washington. Hiram Hull was born in Wayne County, Ohio, March 24th, 1827, where he continued to reside until he was eighteen years of age, when he with his parents, moved to Eikhart, Indiana. When he was twenty seven years of age, he returned to his old home in Ohio, where he was married to Mary E. Stella. Soon after his marriage he returned to Elkhart, Indiana, where he resided for seven years. In the spring of 1873 he moved to Garnett, in Anderson county, Kansas, where he resided till the spring of 1880, when he, together with his family, crossed the plains with wagon and team, to Whitman county, Washington, settling on a homestead near Colfax. He sold his farm in 1900 and removed to Colfax. He was a man of indomitable courage, a kind and provident husband, an indulgent father, a true and noble citizen and neighbor, a man of such sterling worth that he endeared himself to all who knew him. He leaves surviving him his wife, Mary E. Hull, three sons and two daughters, all his children being of age. -Colfax Gazette, 13 Mar 1903
