Read More	Additional information provided by Find A Grave contributor Linda Morice Hise" Miller Called by Death Well Known Everson Early Homesteader Dies after Painful Illness The many friends in this part of the county of Hise Miller were grieved to learn this week of his death which occurred about 4:30 Sunday afternoon at the hospital in Lewistown where he had been confined for six weeks, following an illness of over three years with cancer. Hiseler S. Miller was born January 31, 1874, in Missouri, but when a boy his parents moved to Kansas where he grew to manhood on a farm. From then on throughout his life he followed threshing and farming, but being largely engaged in the former line of work in Kansas, Washington, Idaho, finally coming to Montana in 1913 and taking a homestead in the Arrow creek valley. However he kept up threshing operations until the introduction of the combine put threshing on a large scale into the discard. He continued farming until about a year ago when the state of his health compelled him to give that up and he went to Winifred to make his home with his favorite niece, Mrs. Ed. L. Moody, and husband. Hise was well and favorably known not only in the Everson section, where he had resided so many years, but wherever his work had taken him, and it is safe to say that he will be sadly missed by all. He never married and is survived by two brothers, Jess, of Colfax, Wash., and Abe, of Portland, Ore., and a sister, Mrs. George D. Reid, of Pullman, Wash., also a number of nephews and nieces, including Mrs. Ruth Moody. The funeral is being held this afternoon from the Methodist church and burial will be made in Hillcrest cemetery.
