Description	:	Al Bergstrom, 83, of Grand Forks, ND entered into eternal life Monday, May 30, 2016 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Hjalmer Alvin Bergstrom was born February 23, 1933 the son of Hjalmer and Annette (Ryggs) Bergstrom inn Grand Forks. Al graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1951.Al married Eva Lunski on November 18, 1952 at St. Michael’s Catholic church., He was drafted into the United States Army in 1952. Hjalmer Alvin Bergstrom was born February 23, 1933 the son of Hjalmer and Annette (Ryggs) Bergstrom inn Grand Forks. Al graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1951.Al married Eva Lunski on November 18, 1952 at St. Michael’s Catholic church., He was drafted into the United States Army in 1952. Al returned from active duty with an honorable discharge. Al was employed with his brother, Harris as an electrician before starting Bergstrom Electric with his wife, Eva in 1964. Al was involved in several business, including, Residual Materials, BK Electric, Lakeview Resort, ICS Inc. and Bergstrom Electric until his retirement. Following his retirement, Al would still go into the office every morning by 7:00 a.m. and deliver potatoes and bread twice a week to Lakeview resort. Al was very involved with the Kem Shriners and a member of The Mobil Nobles. Al had a deep love for the children and a passion for working the Kem Shriner’s Circus. He became Potentate of the Kem Temple Shrine in 2000, with his lady Eva. Al enjoyed his cabin at Maple Lake, MN and spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He always had a cold beer for anyone who stopped to see him at the lake. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harris, Orlean, Kenneth; a sister, Joyce; and a son-in-law, Jeff Scherschligt. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Shiner’s Children Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 in Sharon Lutheran Church, 1720 South 20th St. Grand Forks, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service in the church on Friday. Interment: Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND. Military Honors: Accorded by members of the American Legion Post 157, The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3817 and the North Dakota Army National Guard.
