She was a graduate of Doane College. She was a service coordinator for Health and Human Service, working as a coordinator with the developmentally disabled and their workers. She was a member of the church, Garrison Town Board and Cancer Survivors Group. She traveled extensively overseas and throughout the country, played softball, taught Sunday school and enjoyed flower gardens. Survivors include her mother of Garrison; special friend Jerome Polacek; brothers and sisters-in-law, George Phillip Remmers of Omaha, David and Alice Remmers of Lincoln, John Remmers and Karen McDonald of David City and Stephen and Judy Remmers of York; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marianne and Karl Ziethen of Garrison, Marjorie and Kenneth Klingemann of Ulysses and Dianne and Stan Musil of Columbus; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father in 1959. Services were Friday, January 20, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church at Rising City, with the Rev. David Schultz officiating. Burial was at Faith East Lutheran Cemetery. Banner Press
