Barr, 69 years old, of 703 Penn avenue, Irwin died at 12:05 Tuesday afternoon at the Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh following an illness of seven weeks. He was born in Indiana county, August 1, 1883. He had lived in Irwin since 1907 where he formerly operated a grocery store at Fourth street and Pennsylvania avenue. He had lived in Irwin since 1907 where he formerly operated a grocery store at Fourth street and Pennsylvania avenue. Mr. Barr was a member of the First Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Deliah Raygor Barr, four children: Doris, at home; Mrs. Charlotte Seiss, of Wexford; John Howard, of Mt. Vernon, Va.; Cecil, of New York. Four grandchildren, three sisters: Mrs. Myrtle Mitchell, Mrs. Ollie McGregor and Mrs. Florence Morris, all of Indiana, and one brother, Oscar, of Edgewood also survive. Friends will be received at the Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main street, Irwin, where funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 o'clock Friday afternoon with Rev. James A. Gaiser officiating. Interment will be in the Irwin Union Cemetery.
