Read More	Homer E. Elwood Sr., age 82 of 105 S. 4th St. Ext. died Monday, March 31, at his home. On March 6, 1921, he was born in Colebrook, Ohio, and was a son of the late Perry Jadee Elwood and Ruth Hill Elwood Hart. Mr. Elwood was co-owner of Union Tool and Stamping, was the inventor and patent holder of the L-Wood wood heater, was a member of Lockhart Masonic Lodge No. 244, Lockhart Senior Citizens Club, American Legion Post 76, and the Hejaz Shrine Temple was a former Scout Master of Lockhart Troop 45, was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockhart and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita Lee Elwood, of the home, four daughters, Loree E. Yarborough, of Chester, Marjorie Childers, and husband, Arnold, of Union, Bonnie Crocker, and husband, Steve, of Gaffney, and Gina Harris, and husband, Joey, of Lockhart; a son, Homer E. Elwood Jr., and wife Annette of Laurens; nine grandchildren, Cecil Lee Yarborough, Monica Childers Vlock, Jason Childers, Kristen, and Katelyn Crocker, Samantha and Jessica Harris, and Zachary and Hunter Elwood; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 2, at 3:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lockhart, with burial at Lockhart Cemetery.
