R. Kidder, Mrs. Beit Amos and Guy E. Livermore. Miss Violet Vaughn was at the piano. The songs used were "The Rock That Is Higher Than I," "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul." Rev. Estabrook preached the funeral sermon. The pall bearers were Charles Swanson, W. T. Cropper, Milo Moore. Berent Ottun, Fred Replogle and Matt Replogle. Interment was made in the Sargent cemetery. Homer Evans was born July 21. 1867, at Lineville, Iowa, and passed away March 17, 1937, being 69 years, 7 months and 23 days. The Leader has no other particulars for an obituary. The editor does not know when Homer Evans came to Sargent but does know that he worked at the carpenter trade here for many years. He probably lived in Sargent more than thirty years. Mrs. Levi Thomison, deceased who resided a few miles north of Sargent for a number of years, was a half sister. Joe Evans, of Taylor is an older brother. For several years he had two brothers working on farms near here. One was his twin brother Dudley Evans and the other his brother Lola Evans. The latter lives at Greeley, Colorado and arrived in Sargent last Friday. He and Joe Evans were the only close relatives at the funeral. Homer had a sister who lived in Sargent a while thirty three or thirty four years ago but we do not recall her name. We trust that some of his relatives will send us more of the facts of his life.
