Description	:	"Homer Frederick Baker, aged 82, of Richfield Springs, died on Saturday, March 1, at his home on the west side of Canadarago Lake, after a short illness. He was born on the Baker farm on April 10, 1875, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman A. Baker. He had lived on the same farm all his life and was a farmer by occupation. In 1920, he married Lillian Bennett of Cooperstown. He attended Richfield Springs High School. Until recently, Mr. and Mrs. Baker had operated Baker's Beach on Canadarago Lake for 22 years.... He was a charter member of the Otsego County Farm Bureau and in the 1920's served as assessor for the Town of Richfield. Surviving are his wife; a nephew, Norman Baker of New City; three half-nephews, Stewart Eason of Schuyler Lake, Edward D. Baker and Howard Starr, both of Richfield Springs; three half-nieces, Mrs. Carl Wing of Richfield Springs, RD, Mrs. Harry Crowe of Hamilton, and Mrs. George Billington of Feurabush. Funeral services in charge of the Ingalls Funeral Home of Cooperstown were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday from the Baker Homestead, with the Rev. C. Frederic Fraser, former pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be later in Schuyler Lake Cemetery."
