Mr and Mrs. Chalmer Arnold came out Saturday to attend the funeral of little Homer Perdue. Mrs. Arnold is a sister of Mrs. Perdue. They returned to their home in Woodburn Sunday evening. Homer Harold Perdue, the little nine months old babe of Mr. and Mrs Dan Perdue, departed this life at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin on Friday morning, April 21 at twenty minutes past 3 o'clock. Funeral was held at the house on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. N. D. Gordon of Indianola, after which the little body was taken to Bethel cemetery and tenderly laid to rest. Little Homer had not been well for some time and he was taken down with the measles which was followed by pneumonia and together with other ailments was more than his little body could stand and God saw fit to relieve him of his suffering and as these young parents think of little Homer may they be comforted by the though that he was only as a flower budded on earth to blossom in heaven. Jesus said "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The bereaved ones have the sympathy of all in their sad hour.
