Clelland, 82, 1138 Home Ave., a retired city park policeman, died in the Wesleyan Nursing Home, Marion, at 6:25 a.m. Thursday following an extended illness. Born in Amboy, May 11, 1889, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Clelland. He had lived in Kokomo for 55 years. In 1913 he married Miss Lulu Kenedy, who survives. For many years he was employed as an engine tender by the Pennsylvania Railroad. After retirement from the railroad, he was employed as a city park policeman. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Claude (Opal) Dickman; two sons, Wayne and Carl Clelland; a step-daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Alice) Green, and a step-son, Ralph Miller, all of Kokomo. 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ersie Troyer, Homestead, Florida and Mrs. Elvie Hatfield, Converse, and a brother, John Clelland, Peru. A daughter, two sisters, and a brother are deceased. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the Ellers Funeral Chapel with the REv. Emanuel Hochstedler officiating. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel between 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday.
