Description	:	Homer Lamar McRae, 93, died Friday, June 6, 2014 at McLeod Hospice House after an extended illness. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Devotion Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at Richardson Funeral Home. Mr. McRae was born in Brittons Neck, SC, a son of the late Lamar and Annie Richardson McRae. He was a member of Marion Baptist Church for many years, where he served as Deacon. Mr. McRae was a veteran of both the US Army and the US Air Force, and served his country during WW II. He was also a member of the Civitans and Veterans Affairs. He was retired as a plumber/electrical contractor. Surviving are his daughters, Jennie McRae Dellinger and her husband, Phillip of Houston, TX and Cathy McRae Butler of Marion; as well as five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC 29502.
