Description	:	The Morning Journal Memorial Obituary: LISBON - Joan Dixon, 86, of Pendleton Street, passed away at 12:15pm, Friday, May 27, 2011 at Allay Senior Care following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Dixon was born January 11, 1925 in Lima, a daughter of the late Floyd and Honor Rutter, and had lived her entire life in the Lisbon area. She was the treasurer at the Southern Local School District from 1964 until 1972, then treasurer at the Lisbon Exempted Village Schools from 1972 until she retired in 1990. Read More	The Morning Journal Memorial Obituary: LISBON - Joan Dixon, 86, of Pendleton Street, passed away at 12:15pm, Friday, May 27, 2011 at Allay Senior Care following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Dixon was born January 11, 1925 in Lima, a daughter of the late Floyd and Honor Rutter, and had lived her entire life in the Lisbon area. She was the treasurer at the Southern Local School District from 1964 until 1972, then treasurer at the Lisbon Exempted Village Schools from 1972 until she retired in 1990. Prior to 1964, Joan worked at the Columbiana County Court House. Joan was a member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder, Deacon, and was a member of the Women's Association. Her husband, Glen D. Dixon, whom she married January 1, 1952, preceded her in death July 2, 1974. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa "Missy" (Judd) Kemats of Lisbon; and grandchildren, Kyle and Kayla Kemats, both of Lisbon. Mrs. Dixon was also preceded in death by her sisters, Wilhelmina Halliwell and Ruth Hale, and brothers, Jay, Jim, and Robert Rutter. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, June 1, 2011at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, 111 East Chestnut Street, with the Rev. Mark R. Wilds officiating. Private burial will take place in Lisbon Cemetery.
