Description	:	The Lord came and took Hope Elizabeth Brodsho McCabe home after a short illness in Feb, 2012. Hope was born March 24, 1922, to Clarence & Helen Brodsho. She grew up in the Bainville, Mont., area and graduated from high school there. Her father died at young age, so she, her two sisters and three brothers were raised by their mother. After high school, Hope started working for the telephone company in Culbertson. The pretty young Hope caught the eye of a local farmer, Tom McCabe, at a dance, and they were married in 1944. Hope was born March 24, 1922, to Clarence & Helen Brodsho. She grew up in the Bainville, Mont., area and graduated from high school there. Her father died at young age, so she, her two sisters and three brothers were raised by their mother. After high school, Hope started working for the telephone company in Culbertson. The pretty young Hope caught the eye of a local farmer, Tom McCabe, at a dance, and they were married in 1944. She became Tom's partner and greatest support as they farmed in the Homestead area. Hope grew a large garden, cooked for hired men and raised a full household of five boys. Hope loved her sons completely and was their greatest cheerleader from the stands of whatever sporting event they were participating in. When Hope and Tom retired from farming, they traveled the United States in their RV. Hope especially enjoyed the South, trips into Mexico, the West Coast and Alaska. She loved putting her feet in the sand and spoke fondly of a trip to Hawaii. Hope and Tom loved to fish and spent lots of days on Fort Peck Lake trying to hook a walleye, northern pike or lake trout. When her sons started their families, she enjoyed the grandchildren and attended things they were involved in as much as she could. Hope and Tom moved to Glendive when they retired because it was a central location between Medicine Lake, Circle and Ekalaka, where their sons live. They had a large garden and shared the harvest with family, friends and neighbors. Hope loved having Joyce picking her up for afternoon coffee with the crowd. Hope and Tom were married for 60 years when Tom passed away in 2005. Hope was able to stay in her home with the help of her son Rod, who lived with her the last few years. It was a blessing to us all that Rod was able to walk slowly with our Hope as she journeyed home. Hope is survived by her sons, Rodney of Glendive, Dean (Jan) of Circle, Paul (Janet) of Medicine Lake, Jim (Becki) of Ekalaka, and Brad (Ronette) of Ekalaka. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Hope was predeceased by her husband, Tom; a granddaughter, Deanna McCabe; and a grandson, Landon McCabe. Interment of cremated remains will be in Big Lake Cemetery at Homestead.
