Read More	Obituary of Horace Dwight Thomas Horace Dwight Thomas was born in Senecaville, Guernsey County, Ohio, 13 September 1874, the eldest son of John and Angeline Thomas, and passed away at Omaha, Nebraska after a brief illness, on 4 March 1936, at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 21 days. Mr. Thomas came to Iowa in 1881 with his parents who settled on a farm near Guthrie County. Here he grew to young manhood. He attended the Guthrie Center High School and later the Ohio Medical University at Columbus, Ohio. He graduated with the Dental Class of 1889. In 1905 Mr. Thomas was united in marriage with Pearl Ervin, who survives him. He also leaves one brother and one sister A son and a daughter by a former marriage are left. His parents and one brother, Carl, preceded him in death. Mr. Thomas was during his residence in Panora, Iowa, a member of the Presbyterian church in that town. The funeral service was held at the home of Miss Cora Thomas, sister of the deceased on last Saturday afternoon, March 7th. A male quartet with Mrs. H.B. Mahan at the piano sang two of the well known hymns of the church. Reverend Alexander Wimberly, pastor of the Presbyterian church conducted the service and spoke on the text, "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden." (Matthew 11:28) The body was laid to rest in the mausoleum. Mr. Thomas was a member of a pioneer and highly respected family. The sympathy of many friends in this community is extended to the sorrowing relatives.
