Reeder, prominent Bordentown business man and several times a delegate to the Atlantic Deeper Waterways Convention, died suddenly today at his home on Farnsworth Avenue after a heart attack. Mr. Reeder was born in Mt. Holly 73 years ago, moving to Fieldsboro while still a boy. He attended the grade schools in the latter plce, later graduating from Haas'Academy, Bordentown. Following the completion of his education he took up residence permanently in Bordentown, succeeding his father, Joseph Reeder, in the river dredging business. Mr. Reeder was president of the Delaware Sand and Dredging Company and of Hiram Weller & Sons Company, of Trenton. A leader in the movement for the deepening of the Delaware, he was many times a delegate to the conventions of the Atlantic Deeper Waterways Association. He had the rate distinction of being fi ve times appointed delegate to these gatherings by the late Woodrow Wilson, while Governor of New Jersey. Under the old Councilmatic form of government, Mr. Reeder served for several years as Water Commissioner. He was also one of the organizers of the People's Building and Loan Association, and a director of the local public library. He was an honorary member of the Citizen's Hook and Ladder Company and an organizer of the Yapewi Aquatic Club. He was affiliated with Mount Moriah Lodge, No. 28, F. & A. M. and Bordentown Chapter, R. A. M. Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, Ralph, Joseph and Harned, of Bordentown, and Walter of Columbus, and a daughter, Mrs. William Black. Funeral arrangements, which are in charge of C. R. Rogers, hve not yet been completed. Date: Monday, January 25, 1926 Paper: Trenton Evening Times (Trenton, NJ) Page: 4 HORACE G. REEDER BORDENTOWN, Jan 25--Funeral services for Horace G. Reeder, widely known local business man and delegate to the Atlantic Deeper Waterways Convention, will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock from his late home on Farnsworth Avenue, with the Rev. Edgar Sanford in charge. Interment will be in Bordentown Cemetery, under direction of C. B. Rogers. Mr. Reeder, who was 73 years old, is survived by his wife and four sons, Ralph, Joseph and Harnes, of Bordentown, and Walter Reeder, of Columbus, and a daughter, Mrs. William Black.
