Born on March 25, 1923 in Georgetown County, one of 18 children, he was a son of the late Fred Goins and the late Annie Mitchum Goins. Born on March 25, 1923 in Georgetown County, one of 18 children, he was a son of the late Fred Goins and the late Annie Mitchum Goins. Mr. Goins attended Antioch Pentecostal Holiness Church and served in the United States Army where he was an Infantry Man in the Mountain Division during World War II. After serving his country, he retired from International Paper Company with over 41 years of service. Mr. Goins love tending to his farm and livestock. He leaves behind his loving wife, Frankie Jewel Hammond Goins; two daughters, Rev. Wanda Wilson (Rev. Johnny R. Wilson) and Janice R. Goins; a son, Horace Goins, Jr. (Cindy Ray); 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Rev. John Goins (Jean); and a sister, Corine Lambert. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Jewel Holt; and 15 sisters and brothers. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, June 18, 2011 at First Assembly of God with the Rev. David Richardson, Rev. Wanda Wilson and Rev. Steve Muller officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
