Koehn, died Saturday at an Iowa City hospital. Howard complained of his knee hurting him on Monday of last week but attended school all day. Tuesday he became critically ill and the following day was rushed to Iowa City, where his ailment was diagnosed as blood poisoning that had developed from a pimple. The remains were brought to the Hoover funeral home. Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran church, Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Theo Rottman and the Rev. E. Dohrmann, formerly of Victor. Three hymns "Abide With Me," "I Am Jesus' Little Lamb" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus," were sung by the Sunday school, with Mrs. A. T. Boedeker serving as accompanist. Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Carl Seckel and Mrs. JOhn Karsten. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Victor. Howard was born in Marengo July 15, 1940. He was baptized iin St. James church in Victor by the Rev. E. Dohrmann. Since his parents moved to Marengo two years ago he has regularly attended Sunday school at St. John's church. Howard is survived by his parents; one brother, Ronald, 5, and four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Koehn and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wiedemeier of Victor.
