Former Windfall resident Howard Bolinger, 95, Monticello, died at 2 a.m. Saturday at his winter home in Kerrville, Texas. Bom Sept 20, 1904, in Howard County, he was the son of Cornelius M. and Viola (Blose) Bolinger. He married Bessie M. Carney on Oct 15, 1927, and she died May 27, 1990. A farmer, he also was a founding partner in Bolinger Brothers of Windfall. He was a member of Windfall Methodist Church, Yeoman Methodist Church, Northwestern Free and Accepted Masons No. 906, Monticello Moose Lodge, Tippecanoe Country Club and a former member of the Lions Club. He was an active golfer until age 94. Surviving are two sons, Wayne and Keith A. Bolinger of Greentown; two daughters, Helen Bergmen of Kokomo and Mary Ellen Bolinger of Flat Rick, Mich.; a sister, Louise Hutchison of El Paso, Texas; and a companion, Madeline Valieri of Kerrville. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary's Webster Street Chapel in Kokomo. The Rev. Jerry Paul Denamors will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Kokomo.
