| Description | : | Howard Braden Mitchell known to most as Black was the 7th child born to Thomas P and Mary Jane TEAGUE Mitchell. He grew up very near Japton in Madison County, Arkansas. in a little community the family called Jacksons Creek. He would spend his whole life less than a half mile from where he was born and raised. Black spent several years teaching in the small 1 room school houses in the County as well as serving on the school board and farming.
