Description	:	Howard Ellis Good, the third child of Frank and May (Koken) Good, was born February 26, 1914, near Nelson, Nebraska, and passed away Sunday, August 11, 1996, at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 15 days. As a child and young adult Howard attended Bethel and Nelson High School, graduating from the 12th grade. June 27, 1938, he was united in marriage to Corrinne Oltmans at Mankato, Kansas. To this union were born three daughters. Together Howard and Corrinne farmed in the Nelson area all their lives until moving into town. Howard was a member of the Nelson School Board, Nuckolls County Fair Board, Farmers Co-op Elevator, the Oil Boards, ASCS County Committeeman, Masonic Lodge #70 of Nelson and the Scottish Rite and Tehama Temple, both of Hastings. Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank and Mary Good; four brothers, Donald, Dale, Kenneth and Allen; and one grandson, Mitchell Hansen. Survivors include his wife Corrinne of Nelson, Nebraska; three daughters, Barbara Hansen and her husband Howard of Stanton, Nebraska, Sandra Anderson and her husband Neal of Mesa, Arizona, and Kathleen Hubka and her husband Charles of Beatrice, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Tracy Hansen and her husband William Salmonson and Trevor Hansen, Shari Montgomery and her husband Scott and Shannon Pavlik and her husband Lance; three great grandsons, Christopher and Anthony Pavlik and Eric Salmonson; three sisters, Ruth Schneeflock of Novato, California, Dorothy Haszard and her husband A.L. of Eugene, Oregon, and Mildred Eusted and her husband Dean of Creswell, Oregon; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Tuesday, August 13, 1996, at 2 p.m. from the Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, Nebraska, with Rev. Royce Buchtel officiating. Music was "Daddy's Hands", with Alica Ferguson as soloist. A special song was played by Shari Montgomery, harpist. "God Hath Not Promised" was sung by the congregation with Pam Wehrman as organist. Pallbearers were Joe Wehrman, Don McCartney, Clair Jensen, Roger Williams, Tom Gebers and Neal McDowell. Honorary bearers were Don Cacek, Dick Flowers and Vaden Kramer. Interment with Masonic Rites by the Nelson Masonic Lodge #70 was in the Nelson Cemetery. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Superior and Nelson, Nebraska, was in charge of the arrangements.
