Clothier was born in Tryon, Neb., on September 9,1901, the son of Silas and Jennie Frances Daly Clothier. He departed from this life August 24,1943 at Lincoln General Hospital, Lincoln, Neb., due to a cerebral embolism after a lingering illness. Clothier was born in Tryon, Neb., on September 9,1901, the son of Silas and Jennie Frances Daly Clothier. He departed from this life August 24,1943 at Lincoln General Hospital, Lincoln, Neb., due to a cerebral embolism after a lingering illness. On April 8,1927 he was married to Pearle L.McConnell of North Platte. They lived in this community until moving to Lincoln, Neb., two and one half years ago where he was division assistant director of the state motor vehicle department. Mr Clothier was a member of Trinity Methodist church of Lincoln, Neb, and a member of McCook Masonic Lodge No.135 McCook, Neb. He was associated with the automobile business in North Platte for some years; was a charter member of The Pioneer Ad Club having served as its secretary- treasurer and president was chairman of both the Lincoln county Republican central committee and district committee and at the time of his death was a member of the state Republican central committee. He introduced night softball in North Platte and was active in many other sport promotions which won for him almost of friends. Mr Clothier's parents were early settlers in McPherson county. His mother serving for many years as county school superintendant and was associated with the newspaper. The Tryon Graphic, when it was established. His father and mother and an infant brother preceded him in death. Surviving him, in addition to his wife Pearl L. and daughter Sharon and three sisters. Mrs Clara Blaesi, North Platte, Neb. Frances Patton, Tryon, Neb., Bertha Wright, Sacramento, Calif., an uncle. Will Daly of Wallace. Neb. and an aunt, Mrs Phoebe Seeley of North Platte, together with several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
