His children are Rena Stouhton,Eric Nicholson, Nancy Thompson, Greg Nicholson and Jim Nicholson. Howard's parents were Stephen and Janet Idela "Nettie" (Dexter) Nicholson. He had 2 half brothers William and Stephen Nicholson and a half sister Mary Nicholson. Surviving is his sister Dot Wilcox. He served our country in the 40th Infantry during the Korean Conflict. He earned his degree in agriculture there. He worked for Purina Mills as a district sales manager in New England and Ohio. He was an active member in the Rushville Lions Club and coordinated the Lions Red Cross Blood Drives. Howard was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He died at LanFair Nursing Home in Lancaster. The funeral service was held at the First United Methodist Church and there was military rites conducted at the cemetery by the Lancaster Burial Detail. Frank Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements. He was cremated and buried.
