Description	:	Howard Guy Allen, 83, of Gaffney, SC, died Friday, January 19, 2007, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born November 24, 1923, he was a son of the late Harrison Owen Allen and Beatrice Eva (Wilson) Allen and was first married to the late Betty Sue (Covil) Allen. Mr. Allen was a U. S. Army World War II Veteran and attended Cecil's Business College. He retired as a clerk with the U. S. Postal Service, beginning his career when mail was sorted on the train, and served in Spartanburg, Columbia, and Asheville Post Offices. Survivors include his wife, Emily Price Waters... Survivors include his wife, Emily Price Waters Allen of the home; four sons, Randy Allen and his wife Vickey, Larry Allen and his wife Vada, all of Spartanburg, Barry Allen and his wife Richelle of Pauline,and Greg Allen of California; two daughters, Karen Hudson and her husband Carl of Easley, and Janice Randall and her husband Aaron of Spartanburg; step-son, Cass Mark Cassillas and his wife Pam of Gaffney; thirteen grandchildren, Clint Hudson, Andrea Herd, Mandie Allen, Melissa Allen, Kelby Allen, Joshua Randall, Crystal Randall, Casey Randall, Cortland Allen, Megan Allen, Jacob Allen, Cassie and Cass Mark Cassillas, Jr.; and one great-grandson, Hovey Herd. He was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. Visitation was 5:00-7:00 PM, Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 22, 2007 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jeff Lageman, the Rev. Steve Price, the Rev. J. Michael Hensley and the Rev. Everette Burnett. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Clint Hudson, Kelby Allen, Joshua Randall, Casey Randall, Jacob Allen, Cortland Allen and step-son, Mark Cassillas.
