Description	:	Howard Webster, 94, life long farmer and long time resident of rural Rosedale passed away November 19, 2010 at the Exceptional Living Center in Brazil. Howard was born January 3, 1916 to Elmer and Florence (Cox) Webster. He graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1934. Howard married Sylvia Berry January 16, 1938. She died September 30, 2007 (just 3 ½ months before their 70th wedding anniversary). Together they farmed and raised a family near Rosedale, Indiana. For 5 years he drove a gas truck for Farm Bureau. Howard was born January 3, 1916 to Elmer and Florence (Cox) Webster. He graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1934. Howard married Sylvia Berry January 16, 1938. Howard farmed until his retirement in 1978. After retirement Howard and Sylvia visited the Double N Diner daily at Noon, just following the Price is Right. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Bridgeton, 70 plus year member of the Parke County Farm Bureau Association, 4-H Leader, board member of the Parke County Building and Grounds committee, Farm and Home Administration Committee and an ASCS committee member. Howard was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia; sisters Leatha Greenlee and Irene Webster, brother Ova Dean "Tobe" Webster. He is survived by a son Leslie "Web" Webster and wife Linda of Staunton, daughters Myrna Mager and husband Perry of Rosedale, Elaine Mager and husband Leonard of Terre Haute; six grandchildren: Toni Woody and husband Mike of Marshall, IN, Greg Mager and wife Jamie, Debbie Stone and husband Kevin, Robin Lawson and husband Kevin, Mike Mager and wife Karen all of Rosedale, Jeff Webster and wife Marti of Oxnard, CA; 13 great grandchildren: Phenix Webster, Hunter Webster, Jason Woody, Jennifer Woody, Justin and Courtney Mager, Heather and Andy Griffin, Samantha Stone, Joshua Mager, Kory and Sarah Stone, Maddie Lawson, Klayton Lawson, Emily Mager and Clint Mager and one great great grandson Brayden Griffin. Funeral Information Services will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 11:00am with Pastors Perry Mager and Linda Smock officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-8pm. Donations Information In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Friendly Benwood Christian Campground, Serving on the Street, or the House of Hope.
