Train Howard R. Miller Fatally Injured Last Night, Has Brother Here. Howard R. Miller, 55, of Franklin this county, was killed about ? o'clock last night when hit by C. & P. coal train one mile east of Westernport. Members of the train crew said that Miller was apparently lying on the track when the locomotive struck him. The train, pulled by engine No. 27, was running from Frostburg to Piedmont and struck the body about 300 yards east of ??????. An employe of the Campbell Coal Co. Miller is survived by his father, Al Miller, of near Kingwood, W. Va. and by seven sons, five of whom are in the Army. The sons are ??? Earl Miller, overseas; Pfc. Robert Miller, Heart Mountain, Wyo.; ??? Hugh Miller, Camp Howze, Texas; Pvt. Glenn Miller, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; Cpl. Vernon Miller, Bangor, Me; Gerald Miller, somewhere in Pennsylvania, and Elmer Miller, Westernport. Also, surviving are two brothers Willis, this city, and Harley, Atlantic City; a step-daughter, Catherine, at home and a half-sister, Mary at home.
