Anderson of Oskaloosa, Iowa. He also leaves seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also living are two brothers: Owen of Tacoma, Wash; Lester of Portland, Ore.; and a foster brother Loren D. Hunter of Buffalo, NY. One sister Helen Kinney preceded him in death ten years ago. Also left to mourn his passing are a host of nieces and nephews and many friends. The Andersons moved to their present home in Keosauqua 21 years ago from the home where Mr. Anderson was born, north of Keosauqua, now known as the Anderson Park farm. After moving to town, he was an employee of the State Highway Commission for some time, and also was an employee at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park. For the past two years he operated a truck for the Keosaqua Salebarn as much as his health permitted. His main hobby was fishing, which he enjoyed up until a month ago. Funeral services were held Thurs, July 23, 1959 at Burnett-Catcott Funeral Home at Kesauqua, with the Rev. E. S. Tsahetter officiating. Burial was in Purdom Cemetery of Van Buren co, Iowa. Relatives and friends from a distance who attended the funeral services for Howe Anderson were from Des Moines, What Cheer, Oskaloosa, Winterset, Ottumwa, Eddyville, Bloomfield, Burlington and Bonaparte, Iowa.
