Mr. Parker died January 15, 1988, at approximately 7:40 a.m. at the Salt River Nursing Home, Shelbina, where he had been a resident since June 12, 1986. He was born March 19, 1898, in Shelby County to Robert B. and Amy DeHaven Parker. He was united in marriage to Lucille Blackburn who preceded him in death in July 1970. He married Mabel Hofen Vanskike on March 4, 1977 and she survives. Also surviving is one son, William O. Parker, Bethel, two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Parker and a sister, Rebecca Wright. Mr. Parker was a member of the Shelbyville United Methodist Church.
