Born November 11, 1911 in Lower Southampton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Adelaide (Munro) Trail. She and her late husband, Lawrence, were married for 58 years, living in Upper Caverhill until 1957, then moving to Nashwaaksis (Fredericton) where they resided until 1990 when they moved to Dartmouth to be near their children and grandchildren. Born November 11, 1911 in Lower Southampton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Adelaide (Munro) Trail. She and her late husband, Lawrence, were married for 58 years, living in Upper Caverhill until 1957, then moving to Nashwaaksis (Fredericton) where they resided until 1990 when they moved to Dartmouth to be near their children and grandchildren. Throughout those years they worked hard, accomplished much, and enjoyed many travels including trips to New York, Las Vegas, Bermuda, Florida, and across Canada, but probably none were more enjoyable than the regular Sunday afternoon drives that usually ended with dinner at one of the many restaurants they frequented over their happy years together. She was a graduate of the Normal School (Teachers College), Fredericton and taught school for 26 years at various schools throughout York County before retiring from Nashwaaksis Memorial School in 1964. She is survived by: sons, Delmas (Winnifred), and Dale (Nancy); daughter Nancy (Sidney) Hubley; grandchildren, Allyson Connolly, Jeffrey Knox, Susan Gratton, Sheryl Ann Clain, Laura Hubley, Peggy Hubley, Ellen Sabean, Charles Hubley, and Matthew Hubley; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Molly Trail and Florence Melvin; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: grandson, Scott Knox; brothers, Archie, Hedley, Wesley, Murray and Gordon; and sisters, Christina Trail, Gretchen Fox, Gwendolyn Levy, Helen MacFarlane, and Jessie Moore. Visitation will be from 2 -4, and from 7-9, Wednesday, July 21 at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive, Nashwaaksis. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 22 at York Funeral Home, Reverend Gil MacKenzie officiating, followed by a reception at the funeral home. A private burial service will take place later in the day at Upper Caverhill Cemetery. Family flowers only; memorial donations may be made to a charitable organization of the donor's choice.
