Description	:	Hulda F Bartine, 85, of State Center Manor, formerly of Clemons, died Thursday, November 28 at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services were held Monday, December 1 at Clemons United Church of Christ with the Rev David Lewis officiating. Burial was at Clemons Cemetery. She was born December 16, 1911 to G Burdette and Nora S Wiley Rolston in Conrad. She was raised and educated in rural Conrad where she attended Conrad schools. Read More	Hulda F Bartine, 85, of State Center Manor, formerly of Clemons, died Thursday, November 28 at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services were held Monday, December 1 at Clemons United Church of Christ with the Rev David Lewis officiating. Burial was at Clemons Cemetery. She was born December 16, 1911 to G Burdette and Nora S Wiley Rolston in Conrad. She was raised and educated in rural Conrad where she attended Conrad schools. She was a 1929 graduate of Conrad High School and later received her teaching certificate from Iowa State Teachers College in 1930. She taught in rural Conrad schools from 1930 - 1933 then moved to rural Clemons for one year before moving to rural Liscomb in 1935. She lived in Liscomb until her permanent move to Clemons in 1937. On March 31, 1934 she was united in marriage to William Donald Bartine in Nevada. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Clemons Church of Christ where she served as church treasurer. She was also a leader of the Clemons Pals 4-H Club, Marshall County Extension Office as a board member, Farm Bureau Women, Child Study Club and the Clemons Progress Club. She also traveled extensively and visited all seven continents. She is survived by four sons, James B Bartine of Ft Collins, Colorado, Jon C Bartine of Austin, Texas, William D Bartine II of Des Moines and David D Bartine of Loveland, Colorado; two daughters, Nancy K Goodlove of Central City and Deborah Jones of Clemons; a brother, Dean Rolston of Redmond, WA; a sister, Betty Silverman of Dobbs Ferry, NY; 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1971, grandson, Jeffrey David Bartine and two brothers, Robert and Gordon Rolston. December 11, 1997 State Center Enterprise.
