Description	:	Ichabod was born 11 Apr 1819 and died 21 Feb 1885. He was the son of George Washington Farmer 1795-1876 and Katherine Harmon Farmer 180-1843. He is thought to be the first white child born in what is now Benton County. He married Martha Davidson, settled in the Seventh District and raised his family. He was known by his nickname "Uncle Cabe". He was a successful farmer owning upwards of 1,900 acres of land. He moved to Camden after his wife died in 1864. He was the son of George Washington Farmer 1795-1876 and Katherine Harmon Farmer 180-1843. He is thought to be the first white child born in what is now Benton County. He married Martha Davidson, settled in the Seventh District and raised his family. He was known by his nickname "Uncle Cabe". He was a successful farmer owning upwards of 1,900 acres of land. He moved to Camden after his wife died in 1864. He served one term in the lower branch of the General Assembly of Tennessee representing Benton and Humphreys Counties. He married Margret Gillespie later in life, but they did not have any children. He had three children listed in his will that is still on file in the County Court Clerk's Office in Camden and his father's will is still on file, also. His two sons were A.J. and John C. and a daughter Kiziah who married L.E. Davis. Ichabod Farmer, being one of the early settlers of Benton County, left a lot of descendants all over the United States. He died 21 Feb 1885 and was buried in the city cemetery at Camden, TN.
